NURS 662 Assessment of Learning in Nursing

Pre-requisites: One year of graduate course work or permission of instructor, and NURS 561/661.

Course Description: This course introduces approaches, processes, and tools that can be used to assess learning especially in a practice discipline. Topics include: design of performance assessment tasks, development of instructional rubrics to aid student learning adn to guide performance assessment, construction of paper-and-pencil tests, the use of portfolios, and issues in grading achievement. 3 qtr/2 sem credits

 

Method of Instruction: Face-to-face intensive and online (Sakai).
