Course Description: The focus is on the design and application of e-health principles to the delivery of health care. Evidence-based support for e-health are examined within a context of the legal, ethical, social and public policy challenges of health care delivery system.
Method of Instruction: Online. UCD uses Blackboard as its e-platform.

Other considerations: By the end of this course, the learner will be able to: Critique the use of e-health applications for the delivery of cost-effective quality care. Create a plan to implement an e-health application to support advance nursing practice. Evaluate the impact of e-health applications on patient and cost-quality outcomes and the relationship between providers and patient. Assess the legal, ethical, infrastructure and policy issues related to the implementation of e-health applications. Open to PhD and DNP students.
