Course Description: This course provides the theoretical foundation for advanced geriatric nursing focusing on health promotion in aging. Emphasis is placed on core concepts of aging including theories of healthy aging, culture, and health promotion. Theory building approaches are used as a basis for applying health promotion process and outcomes to clinical practice and policy.
