Course Description: In this course, the student will gain advanced knowledge in the nursing care of older adults experiencing common geriatric syndromes. This course will provide opportunities for students to apply the principles of adult learning to gerontological nursing content by developing case-based learning activities. 3 qtr/2 sem credits

 

Method of Instruction: Online (Sakai) with 1-week intensive. The intensive will be held on campus June 21-25, 2010.

Tuition: $675/semester credit

 

Other considerations: * * The 3 courses of NURS 538, NURS 539, and NURS 540 are taken as a 9-quarter credit series or a 6-semester credit series that include an intensive week and a summer term of online work. This course is designed for those doctoral students who are new to gerontological nursing and are an advanced practice nurse. This course is available to both PhD & DNP students.
