Course Description: Course Description: Practice teaching of nursing students, practicing nurses and/or clients. Analyze teaching strategies in academic and clinical settings. Course Objectives: 1. Develop one's own philosophy of education as it relates to the role of teacher and role of the learner. 2. Demonstrate knowledge of methods that assess the needs of the learner. 3. Compare and contrast teaching strategies appropriate for nursing education and/or for use as a clinical nurse specialist in a health care setting. 4. Discuss ethical issues

 

Method of Instruction: Online platform is Blackboard; Required to have high speed internet service, access to DVD computer drive and Microsoft office 2001 or higher.
